"Stop complaining Johnson and just be grateful this class is below average size."

The possible misuse of mobile camera phones in schools is an increasing concern. There have been a number of cases in which students have taken inappropriate photographs of other students or teachers and distributed them. In a recently reported case in the North East, a student was suspended after photographing a teacher's cleavage and sending the picture to his friends.
The NUT believes that all schools should have a clear policy on the use of mobile phones in schools. Clearly it would be safest to ban students from bringing all mobile phones to school, but this may be considered impractical. Whatever is decided, it is important that all staff and students are protected from harassment.
