New Employment Rights

Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Trangendered
employees, including teachers, have been given new employment rights by new
anti-discrimination legislation. This means that employers cannot refuse
employment or training on discriminatory grounds. The NUT is challenging the
right of faith schools to be exempted from this legislation, as it would
effectively legitimise discrimination.
