Sickness Absence - Trigger Points Hold Up Agreement
The six teacher unions have been negotiating, through teachers' negotiating committee, a Management of Sickness Absence policy with the local authority. Unfortunately we could not agree on the final document, because of the local authority's inclusion of 'trigger points' and one or two other issues of controversy.
Human Resources will be sending the document into schools and have agreed to send a covering letter to head teachers explaining why the six teacher unions couldn't agree to the final version.
The new version of the policy will be available to view, along with other locally agreed policies, on our documents page.
