Strike and national demonstration for sixth form college members

9th March 2016

In the recent ballot of sixth form college members, there was a vote of 86% in favour of strike action. So, a coach will be leaving Victoria Park at 8.30am on March 15th for a rally at London's Camden Centre at midday followed by a protest outside parliament in the afternoon. We should be back in Leicester by 5.30pm at the latest. To secure a free seat on the bus please let your college NUT rep know or email ian[at]leicesternut.org.uk

You can view a joint message in support of the campaign from the NUT and NUS.

The strike is taking place the day before George Osborne's Budget speech. It's a massive opportunity to expose the impact of his education funding cuts - a chance we cannot miss.
